U.S. Inspect to Phase Out InVision Technologies Trade Name

FAIRFAX, VA - January 12, 1998 - U.S. Inspect, Inc. today announced that it is phasing out the use of its InVision Technologies trade name and will begin using the name U.S. Inspect for all inspection services the company performs in the general real estate, corporate relocation, and commercial markets.

"This decision will help us strengthen brand name recognition for U.S. Inspect," said U.S. Inspect Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Keith S. Fimian. "We want real estate brokers and agents, relocation professionals, and the homebuying public to know that U.S. Inspect can handle all of their inspection needs."

U.S. Inspect President Brian P. Fimian said the change will allow the company to streamline a variety of internal operations and allocate resources more efficiently. He joked that the change will eliminate occasional questions he fields about which industry the company serves.

"The InVision Technologies name served us well for many years in the corporate relocation market," Brian Fimian said. "But even there, numerous individual we talked to told us that U.S. Inspect is the better name to use because it describes what it is that we do. With InVision Technologies, some people ask if we are an eye care company, others ask if we are an Internet service provider. U.S. Inspect is a simple, meat-and-potatoes name that tells it like it is - we do inspections.

The phase out is expected to be completed this spring after the company finalizes a planned merger of Radonics, Inc. into its wholly-owned subsidiary, U.S. Inspect, Inc. Currently, InVision Technologies is the trade name used by both Radonics, Inc. and U.S. Inspect, Inc. for inspection management services provided in the corporate relocation market.
