Board Names Richard A. Thompson U.S. Inspect
President and Chief Executive Officer

FAIRFAX, VA - The board of directors of U.S. Inspect, Inc. today announced the appointment of Richard A. “Dick” Thompson as President and Chief Executive Officer of the company.

“Dick is a welcome addition to the U.S. Inspect management team,” said U.S. Inspect chairman, Keith S. Fimian. “The U.S. Inspect board is confident that Dick’s depth and breadth of experience in general management as well as marketing and financial management will help U.S. Inspect realize its aggressive business and growth strategies.”

Thompson, who will also sit on the U.S. Inspect board, brings to U.S. Inspect a record of success leading two publicly held companies. Most recently, he was President and CEO and a director of Microlog Corporation, a Germantown, Maryland based manufacturer of comprehensive Contact Center (interactive customer service communication systems) solutions. He served at Microlog from 1992 to 1999 and prior to that held the post of president of General Kinetics, a diversified manufacturing company. Thompson has also held financial management positions with MCI Communications and marketing management positions with General Electric Company and Bendix Corporation. He has a degree in Aerospace Engineering from the United States Naval Academy, a Masters in Mechanical Engineering from North Carolina State University and a Masters of Business Administration from the Harvard Business School.

U.S. Inspect vice-chairman Brian P. Fimian stated, “The time has come for U.S. Inspect to leverage the executive skill sets of someone of Dick’s caliber in order to maximize the opportunity for U.S. Inspect to realize a break out. This move signals our readiness to transition from a small company well known in industry circles to a large company that is positioned, under the right set of circumstances, to take advantage of a myriad of opportunities and establish national brand awareness.”

Entrepreneurs Keith and Brian Fimian, who founded and developed the company from its origins in August 1986, will continue to serve in day-to-day leadership capacities with the company. In addition to his chairman duties, Keith Fimian will continue to focus attention on the company’s e-business strategy and business relationships. Brian Fimian will spearhead the company’s external growth initiatives, charged with bringing new individuals and inspection companies into the company through acquisition.
