U.S. Inspect Expands to Boulder

CHANTILLY, VA - U.S. Inspect, LLC today announced the signing of Boulder-based The Real Estate Inspector, Inc., one of Colorado's oldest and most reputable home inspection companies.

Barry Prentice, along with his wife Lena, founded The Real Estate Inspector over 15 years ago.  During his inspection career, Barry has completed several thousand inspections of both residential and commercial properties in the Denver-Boulder Front Range Corridor and in Summit County.  Barry and Lena also travel extensively as professional Trainers for the American Home Inspectors Training Institute (AHIT), the nation’s largest home inspector training company.

While Prentice will be leaving the company, the remaining members of his team, son Tom Prentice and Dennis Tracy, will become full-time building consultants for U.S. Inspect.  He comments about the transition, “Lena and I had been looking for an opportunity to move onto other pursuits, while still leaving behind a solid business for the rest of my team.  When U.S. Inspect came along, I knew the time had come.”

John Roman, Area Manager for Colorado, is pleased with the transition.  “Barry has built up a strong team.  His operation is a perfect addition to what we’ve already established here in Colorado.”

This latest acquisition will help to strengthen U.S. Inspect’s presence, which has grown over the last few years in the Colorado region.  With teams already in place both in Colorado Springs and Denver, this latest addition brings the number of U.S. Inspect’s Building Consultants in Colorado to 16 as well as expanding its coverage area.

The Real Estate Inspector will undergo a transition period over the next few months, during which time the company will be known as U.S. Inspect/The Real Estate Inspector before fully integrating under the U.S. Inspect name.
